Campo Para°Diso (IT)
Campo Para-Diso is an experiment in reimagining collective ownership and
commoning with the intention of creating a community of affections. The Campo
is located in Diso, in the province of Lecce, in the lower Salento region— a special
place not far from the beautiful Adriatic Sea. This location, just a few hundred
meters from the residential area, comprises a plot of about 1.6 hectares, featuring
an existing rural dwelling of approximately 90 square meters that is set to be
renovated. An additional 160 square meters can be added through a new
construction for which all the necessary permits have already been obtained.
Work is already underway to make the place habitable in the coming months,
providing basic services that will allow people to camp, live together, and interact
in a sustainable way with the land. The presence of a deep well and the fertile soil
of the field are already yielding numerous fruits, thanks to the structural and
virtuous collaboration with the Casa delle Agriculture initiated by the group.
